The Group
We are made up of Retired British Railway employees, house wives, mothers, college professors, stay at home dads/students, handymen, junior college staff, painters, and of course students.

The History of Our Group
Legend has it that our founder came from a group of Green Grass Cloggers in Ashville North Carolina. He moved with his job to a small town North of Champaign, Paxton Illinois. George wanted to continue his clogging experience but found that there was no cloggers in this area. So he started his own group. At the time the group was started it was traditional to name new clogging groups after local bodies of water. Well the only thing close to a local body of water around here was the Boneyard Creek. A local creek running through Champaign that would flood with the slightest rain. Hence the Boneyard Creek Cloggers were born.

Unique
There are several other clogging groups in Illinois. However The Boneyard Creek Cloggers is the only group we know of in this part of the country that does the Green Grass style of clogging. We wear costumes that look a little like old fashion clothes. The other style of cloggers in this part of the country are what is called Line cloggers. They dress in a more showy type of clothing. The ladies wear short stiff skirts and the guys wear some kind of cowboy type clothes.
